The image shows the industrial hard drive crusher used at HTL 365 to securely destroy storage media for our clients.

This device is an NSA/CSS-evaluated disk crusher, designed to physically bend and fracture hard drive platters so the device can never spin again.

However, physical destruction is only the final step in our process.

Before a drive reaches the crusher, we apply a layered media sanitization approach aligned with NIST SP 800-88 guidance:

• Secure logical erasure
• Industrial degaussing
• Final physical destruction

By the time a drive reaches this moment, the data has already been eliminated multiple times.

This process helps organizations properly dispose of retired IT assets while reducing the risk of data exposure.
